What is SilkWard?

A turn-based isometric puzzle: no reflexes, no timers — the tension comes from the board itself.

SilkWard is a turn-based isometric puzzle game set on the Silk Road. You set out with a caravan, cross a region full of threats, and reach the way out. There are no reflexes involved, no timers, and not a single moment where you have to hurry.

What it looks like

Every level is a small diorama that fits on one screen: no scrolling, no zooming needed. You see the whole board at a glance and you have as much time as you want to think.

  • 36 + 6levels and hidden levels
  • 8rules

The levels span three acts — a covered bazaar and caravanserai yard, desert and oasis, a mountain pass — and each act brings its own threats.

How you play

You walk from one node to a neighbouring node. After you move, every threat on the board takes one step according to its own rule. You see the result; if you do not like it, you take it back.

The whole loop is broken down on Turn order. The board itself — nodes, paths, doors, hiding spots — is covered in World model.

Where the tension comes from

Not from time, but from information. You can see where a sentry is looking; a patrol's route is marked on the ground; whether a chaser has woken is readable in how the figure stands. Nothing is hidden from you.

The difficulty comes from putting the information together: working out where four threats will be at the same moment, seeing which door is waiting on which key, finding the node where one thrown stone opens the road.

Who it is for

People who do not enjoy losing. People who do not want to get stuck. People who want to finish a level in five minutes on the train and close the app. It runs entirely offline and collects nothing about you.
